January 1, 2016 :: 1/365
After a whole bunch of really unseasonably warm weather (not complaining) we got some snow. Milo loves digging in the snow but most of it turned to ice over night so we brought out the rakes and drew lines all over instead.
Happy New Year! This was the first New Year's Eve that I can remember that we didn't go anywhere and that I fell asleep before midnight. Milo fell asleep in the car before we could do an early countdown and then Ivan and I ate some candy cane ice cream, watched X-Files and fell asleep before 11:00. Party animals, I know!
So...I really want to do another 365 Project this year and the only way I have a chance of sticking with it is if I blog the photos. So, here goes, let's give this a try. I also really want to keep track of the knitting/crochet/sewing projects I'm working on as well as books I'm reading. Double also, and this is going to sound really weird, I like looking back through my blog and seeing what the weather was like. Good thing I mentioned the weather in this post, I will really enjoy reading it again in a few years.

YESSSSS. Elycia is baaaaack.
ReplyDeleteI hope I stick around! You need to harass me if I disappear. ;)
DeleteYay, X-Files!
ReplyDeleteIt's sooo good! This is my first time watching and we are on season 5.
DeleteWhat a nice way to start the new year... A post by you! Happy new year Elycia!
ReplyDeleteThank you Claire! Happy new year to you too.
DeleteKids certainly change your new year celebrations, gone are our days of crazy plans and getting home when the sun comes up. These days I'd rather start the first day of the year bright eyed and bushy tailed. May your 2016 be filled joy and smiles.
ReplyDeleteTotally! Although I have never been a huge party animal on New Year's Eve...or ever. Haha!
DeleteIt didn't feel like a special night last night but I definitely feel like today is a fresh start!
I hope you have a great 2016 as well.
Hey, awesome idea with the 365 project. You might want to check out https://tookapic.com - it's a nice little site with a community of amateur photographers. We all run 365 projects and support each other.
ReplyDeleteThat sounds cool! Support is definitely great during a 365.
DeleteI am doing a 365 project as well. I have tried in the past and failed so I am definitely going to accomplish it this year!
ReplyDeleteGood luck! You can do it!
DeleteI have failed many times and completed one and then failed some more. Haha. I get really discouraged if I forget a day, but you shouldn't! Have fun!
You are back! I dont really know you but Ive followed your blog for a whole bunch of years and I did miss it a lot! Pleeeeease stay! And happy new year!

Thank you Anna! I promise I will try! I have such a weird though process about blogging now, I keep going back and forth about whether I like it or not. For now I like it!
DeleteLooking forward to reading your blog this year!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year!
Thank you! Happy new year!
DeleteI wish you the best on your new ventures, and can't wait to read along! I've tried and failed photo projects for the last few years for one reason or another, but this is the first new year of motherhood for me, so I'm sure there will be enough incentive. :) Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteThank you! Congratulations on your little one! Being a mom is awesome and it definitely gives you lots of cute subject matter to photograph. Good luck!
DeleteI have thought about doing a 365 project also, I love documenting my life in any form! Good luck to you and I hope you're having a great start to the year!
ReplyDeleteYou should go for it! It's really great to look back on to remember little moments.
