Here are my week 5 granny squares.
I didn't make a week 6 square because we were in Florida but I have already finished my week 7 square and I hope to make at least one more this week. I feel like I'm running out of colour combinations for the two colour squares (remember I already have a bunch that I made back when I started the blanket) so I think I need to take a look through the ones I have made and see what is missing.
Someone asked how long it takes to make a square. I should really time that and let you know. I'm so bad at estimating how long things take so I feel like I will say a really dumb number. I will get back to you on that one.
Have a good Thursday!

OOOh. The colours are awesome. This is gonna be the most vibrant granny square blanket ever <3
ReplyDeleteHow do you join the squares in the end? :)

I sew them together.
DeleteI have the hardest time estimating how long it takes me to knit/crochet things when people ask me, too. It's so variable! Even when you take out the variety of stitches/yarn sizes/difficulty of any given project and are doing something consistent like granny squares there are still so many factors that play into it. Am I listening to music? Am I watching a movie? Do I keep stopping every 10 stitches to screw around in the internets? All of these things make it very difficult to guess how long things take. I always throw out ridiculous ballparks, like, "Well, it takes me like a day to three years to make with maybe like between 3 and 78 hours of actual knitting. To answer your question."
ReplyDeleteSo I feel you, it's hard to guess!
