Good morning! Before I share my 365 photos for the week I wanted to mention two things that were brought up in the comments on the last post. First, Milo is pronounced M-eye-low for anyone who was wondering (well that's how we are pronouncing it anyways). Second, Milo was a bit jaundiced in the beginning but recovered very quickly without needing to be admitted to the hospital. I did have a home birth but that doesn't mean that no one checks on the baby. The midwives came daily for the first 3 days to monitor him and they are still coming for home visits for the next couple weeks. Midwives are amazing, we love them! Ok, on with the photos!
175/365 :: Sleepy baby.
176/365 :: Farva, Anakin and Pinny are all doing great with Milo. They don't pay too much attention to him but they have all been around to sniff him a few times.
177/365 :: Ivan plays piano for Milo all the time and it is the sweetest thing ever. Ignore the cat hair on Ivan's shirt. Usually he is completely cat hair free (unlike me).
178/365 :: I hadn't picked up a nursing bra yet so Ivan went out with my measurements to grab one for me. What a good husband.
179/365 :: I can't take it!
180/365 :: Don't worry, the kitties still get lots of love. Ivan held Farva like a baby for about 15 minutes the other day and he was totally into it.
181/365 :: Prettiest kitty eyes.
Lots of cats, babies and Ivan this week. My three favourite things!
The midwives just came for a home visit and Milo is doing great. He is weighing in at 6 lbs 11 oz which is above his birth weight already. Ivan and I really want to write up his birth story this week so that we can share it but it is quite a big task and I really had no sense of time that day so it will be a little difficult. We'll hit the basics though. I'm excited to share it!

Waiting anxiously for your birth story! Your hubs rocks my socks off: way to go, bra shopping man. =) It's a little hard to buy one prebaby anyway because you have no way of knowing just how huge you might get. Like, WOW. I'm waiting til after this time to purchase one!
ReplyDeleteSo love how the midwives check on you all the time. I wish it was legal for me to have one, silly state that I live in. You are so fortunate!
He is a beautiful boy. God bless you all. I am so very happy for you.
