Hair :: Bleached again!

A few weeks ago I finally bleached my hair for the first time in nine months! I was planning on dyeing it light pink but my roots took so much bleach that I wasn't able to pull any through to the ends and my hair was still really bright blue in lots of spots. So instead I used whatever I had hanging around in the cupboard because I didn't have enough of any one colour to do my whole head. The top is blue and green mixed together, then purple and pink mixed and then pink. 

I am really excited about other hair possibilities now that I'm back to bleaching. When I am able to leave Milo for a few hours I plan on doing the top layer white again and just doing colours on the bottom. Exciting!

204/365 :: Baby ear. We get a lot of compliments on how perfect Milo's little ears are. I mean, I agree but I didn't realize that was something people pay a lot of attention to.

209/365 :: I kept forgetting to take my picture for the day but I'm glad I did because I love the way this turned out. I never really take photos is less than great lighting but I think I need to experiment more.

Sooo, last week I failed at doing pretty much everything I planned to do. Oh well, I will try again this week!

I am starving so I'm going to see what's cooking for breakfast...meaning I'm going to go to the kitchen to make myself a protein drink and some toast. Breakfast of champions!

Photos :: Millcroft Inn

This past weekend Ivan, Milo & I headed up to Caledon with my mom for a little getaway. We stayed at Millcroft Inn and it was so beautiful I didn't want to leave. Also the weather was amazing! It was a great weekend.

This was a special dessert that the chef made. It is a cold peach soup and it was amazing!

Milo looks so much like Ivan here!

I have a midwife appointment this afternoon to check on Milo and I'm excited to see how much he's grown. My arms definitely notice he is getting bigger!

Baby :: 1 Month Old

On Sunday Milo turned 1 month old and I can't believe it. Ivan and I are constantly amazed by how much we love him and then the next day we somehow love him even more. Having a baby is totally crazy and completely awesome. We love being parents. Plus you get to put your baby beside a giant carrot and take photos, that's pretty cool.

Milo has grown so much already and is starting to seem a bit more interested in the world. His main interests are definitely still eating and sleeping but looking around is edging its way into the mix.

We love you Milo!!

This week I'm planning a bunch of things that will get me out of the house. I'm hoping to bring my camera along as well and I'm looking forward to it. I want to go learn about baby massage and maybe go to a drop in group thing at the store we got our cloth diapers. I really want to step outside of my comfort zone and do more social things by myself. We'll see what I end up doing!

I feel like my hair has been growing so fast. It was probably pregnancy related because normally it grows so slow. I don't mind at all, except for the fact that I don't have time to go to the hair dressers and I have been cutting it myself.

A funny thing I noticed when wearing this...if you had have asked me while I was pregnant if my feet were swollen I would have said no, not really. Well...yes they were! Wearing these shoes now they are pretty loose from being stretched out by my more swollen than I thought pregnant feet. It's funny how I don't really notice certain things as they change.

So that's about all I have to say about this outfit. Have a fantastic Thursday!

Good morning! I hope everyone is having a good day so far. It is and has been absolutely boiling around here lately. It seriously feels like an oven outside! Not great weather for going for a walk with a baby which is exactly what I would like to do. Oh well, I'm sure it will cool down a little eventually.

I have basically been wearing exclusively skirt shirt combos these days for easy access to baby food (breast feeding). Most of my dresses make it extremely difficult so they will have to hang out in my closet a little longer and only come out for short trips.

This post and one more are the last ones with my super long roots. I was finally able to bleach my hair and re-dye it! Very exciting stuff. I ended up not having as much of any colour dye as I thought I did so it is a big mish mash of colours. I don't mind! I will show you soon.

Another week down!

I'm pretty excited and nervous today because I put Milo in cloth diapers for the first time. We are using prefolds & covers and I'm really hoping I put them on correctly. They seem so bulky We had to use disposables for the first little bit because Milo was way too little for the cloth ones. He must have grown a lot because they seem to fit well now. Our little guy is growing so fast!
