I know I just did a photo an hour for May but I really wanted to capture our day our in Niagara Falls on Saturday. Here is a look at what we did, hour by hour.
7 am :: Ready to go meet our friends in Niagara Falls!!
8 am :: On the road with my sweat rag. Gross, I know. I got so hot while I was getting ready and I just couldn't cool down. I don't like being sweaty (unless I'm exercising) so I brought this towel to keep the sweat situation in check.
9 am :: I get a lot of stuff shipped to Kaylah and we hadn't seen each other in way too long so I had a lot of mail. It was like Christmas!
10 am :: We visited the Buffalo Aquarium. It was pretty small but there were some pretty fish and a bunch of rescued seals. Their stories were so, so sweet.
11 am :: We couldn't figure out what the heck you would get to see by looking through this thing. It seemed like just trees and buildings.
12 pm :: At the Falls taking my typical "I'm behind you being a creep" shot.
1 pm :: We grabbed some shaved ice but unfortunately didn't make a purchase that qualified us for a free baby.
2 pm :: We saw a brochure that Body Worlds had just started at the Buffalo Museum of Science. We had all seen it (or a version of it) before but we were excited to see it again so we headed over.
3 pm :: We spent some time checking out the rest of the museum.
4 pm :: Cool shadows!
5 pm :: After having an amazing Indian lunch earlier in the day we had the most disappointing Indian dinner ever. Bummer.
6 pm :: Kaylah had never been to a casino so we headed over so that she could lose all of her money on the slots. Well, actually just $4.80. Casinos are not the most exciting place to me because I'm too cheap to gamble and I have been known to fall asleep while waiting for other people. This visit was the perfect length though (very short!) so I managed to stay awake and have fun.
7 pm :: Back to the room for a quick swim and then out again for a quick snack trip.
8 pm :: We had planned on going back to the Falls at night but we got kind of lazy and the weather wasn't great so we stayed in and played through the entire box of Cards Against Humanity. Have you played this game? It is soooo terrible and soooo funny.
It was a fun, tiring day! I think I probably visited every single washroom in Niagara Falls at least once. I really should have taken photos of each one and done reviews to let you know which ones are best. Or maybe it's a good thing I didn't because that probably would have been weird.

Haha I have Crohn's disease, so I'm the same way with bathrooms. I can rate the cleanliness of just about every public bathroom in Crystal Lake, where we do all our shopping. xD
ReplyDeleteSounds like a great trip! I wouldn't mind visiting Niagra Falls! Love your blog.
ReplyDeleteWe LOVE Cards Against Humanity! Do you play the American one or the Canadian edition?
ReplyDeleteBoth. I just added the Canadian cards to the rest of them.
DeleteMuwaha I snorted at the last bit about the bathrooms.
ReplyDeleteThanks for writing a positive post about the Falls & the Buffalo NY area! I'm from Buffalo & often times the area gets a bad rap. We have lots of fun things to offer here, so thanks from a proud Buffalonian for sharing this fact with everyone :)
ReplyDeleteHaha! That is an amazing idea for a photo project! Take a photo of every public bathroom you visit during your pregnancy. I'm not planning to have any children so I hope somebody else will do this great project! Maybe if you have another child?
ReplyDeleteHopping over from the Dainty Squid and I've got to say, I adore your phone case! Super cute!
ReplyDeleteLooks like you guys had a good time. I'm from North Tonawanda, which is smack-dab between Buffalo and Niagara Falls, so it was cool to see you went past my neck of the woods a few times. :) Just out of curiosity, which Indian restaurant did you have your disappointing dinner at?
ReplyDeleteThe one inside the big building with all the banners hanging off of it. Attached to the main parking lot. There are a couple different food places inside.
Deletenice trip!
ReplyDeleteif you liked the Niagara Falls, you must see how wonderful are Iguazu falls in Argentina! are AMAZING!!

I said on Kaylah blog that you both made wanna go on a trip like yours: see new places, exploring with friends. It's so good. Now you need to come to visit Portugal eheheheh :P

Looks like such a fun day! A free baby?! Haha so weird. I haven't been to Niagara in a really long time. I'm excited to go back this summer. We're doing a bike winery tour on the Acadian side in July.
ReplyDeleteSounds like you had a blast! I've never been to the Falls but really want to go on my next NY trip.
ReplyDeleteHello Elycia! that is the best game ever! I have a hunch you would probably also like Balderdash and Apples to Apples as well, have you played either of those games?
ReplyDeleteYes I have played those and you're right, I love them. I am usually realllllly good at Balderdash especially.
DeleteLooks like you had such a fantastic day! I absolutely love Cards Against Humanity. So fun!

ReplyDeleteOh my goodness. I need that phone case of the cats. Where did you buy it from?
ReplyDeleteLooks like a really fun time! I really love Niagara Falls but I've never spent any time on the American side. I want to try that card game!
