I am really crazy about everything in this outfit but the tights are killing me! They have them in a bunch of different colours and they are so pretty. I really wish I was wearing this for one of the Easter dinners we are going to.

Pregnancy :: 25 Weeks

25 weeks 1 day in photo

A few things:
1. I like that you can see what I was doing right before I took these photos in the background, hanging out on the couch watching something with Farva.
2. I planned on wearing jeans and a t-shirt in all of these weekly updates for consistency but that got realllly boring for me so I decided to mix it up.
3. I think my boobs are growing just as fast, if not faster than my belly. It's seriously nuts!

This week I am excited to tell you that Ivan and I both got to feel the baby kicking! He was being really active one morning and must have been in just the right spot to feel it from the outside. I called Ivan over and he got to feel it too. It is still not a usual occurrence to feel him that strongly but I have been feeling a ton more movement this week. Very exciting!

I think that is all the big news for this week. This afternoon we are going to go to a diaper store and get more information on cloth diapers so that we can choose the ones that are right for us. I'm pretty excited!

Style Me Vintage Weddings

A little while ago I was sent this beautiful book, Style Me Vintage: Weddings by Annabel Beeforth to take a look at. I am not planning a wedding but it is still really awesome to flip through. I wish that I had it when we were planning our wedding because along with being pretty there are tons of tips about the different time periods (1900's to 1970s) from the fashion to decor and small details. So neat! Here are some photos of my favourite parts of the book, the 50s & 60s.

I definitely loved my wedding dress but if I was having a do-over of our wedding day I would love to have a dress with some colourful petticoats underneath. I am obsessed with how pretty this looks! 

The above photo is from the 60s section. I love the colourful puff balls and the model's hair and eye make up. It's so perfect!

Another cool thing about this book is that it shows some real brides. The photo above is of a real bride who went with a 50s style dress for herself and then a more 60s look for her bridesmaids. I also really love this wedding dress.

So, yeah, I'm totally in love with the styles in this book and just wanted to share some pretty photos with you guys!

I am simultaneously totally thrilled and not that excited about this dress. I love the colour, the collar detail, the length and the cut...but it does not have the most flattering side profile for a pregnant girl. Other than that little detail though I am so crazy about it and can't wait to wear it all the time after this baby makes his way out. Oh yeah, and while we are talking about pregnancy related clothing problems, just ignore that tights line. They fit last time I wore them! Now they just don't go up over my belly. Oops!

Ok, now that I have pointed out everything that is wrong with this outfit which I probably should have just not mentioned and then most of you may not have noticed, I need to say how much I love the colour combo Kaylah and I have going. We always seem to accidentally match/compliment each other really well for our outfit photos. It's a gift. We don't even plan them in advance!

I really can't wait until our outfit photos are being taken on a beautiful, warm spring day. I hope that day comes soon because seriously I think I might snap if I see another snowflake!

Pregnancy :: 24 Weeks

24 weeks 1 day in photo

This week we went to a home birth information night and it was awesome. We knew from the beginning that was the route we wanted to take but it was nice to hear even more about it. When I used to hear about people giving birth at home I thought they were nuts, but that's only because I had no idea what it involved. Last summer I asked my friend Chantilly a million questions about it and decided that it was not even close to nuts and that I would love to have one some day. As of right now everything looks good for us to have the baby at home so I hope things stay that way.

Still no new developments on the movement front. I'm still feeling the same type of muffled stuff. I can't wait for the week that I get to say that I got a good hard kick. Ha!

We have a pretty full schedule this weekend and I'm excited about it. I hope everyone has a good one!

They would be perfect for me because I am exceptionally skilled at killing houseplants. 

After complaining so much about my cold last week I should probably mention that I am feeling much better. I still have to blow my nose more than I would like to and I have a tiny cough but thank goodness it is mostly gone.

I really hope that we start to get some real spring weather soon. It has been snowing a little everyday and it is starting to drive me crazy! I need spring now! How is the weather where you live?

The title of this post refers to that last photo. We could totally be in a department store catalogue with that one. Maybe not a spring one though...there's too much snow. Yep, that's the only problem with that photo.

It is very hard to choose serious photos to post when Kaylah and I take outfit photos together. As we are taking the photos I usually like to do a bit of a running commentary of what we are doing at that moment and that usually gets us laughing and looking silly in 90% of the pictures.

Oh, and I guess I shoul mention something about my outfit. I'll choose my shoes. I have been debating sequin shoes for a really long time and I finally took the plunge with these cute ones from Blowfish. I love them!

Photo an Hour :: St. Patrick's Day

7 am :: Kaylah made cinnamon buns for our Sunday breakfast and they were amazing! Ivan has already asked me to make them for us at home. 

8 am :: Getting ready for the day.

9 am :: My sweet pal Leaf. We got in quite a bit of sunggling this past weekend.

10 am :: Kaylah and I are ready to head out for outfit photos, a yummy lunch, photobooths and the arcade.

11 am :: As I have mentioned numerous times, I am so sick of the snow...but I couldn't help but appreciate how pretty this freshly fallen white stuff looked.

12 pm :: At Melt for lunch!

1 pm :: Ivan and Kevin faced off in air hockey before I kicked Kaylah's butt two games in a row. I had to win so she would stop smack talking my skills.

2 pm :: After the arcade we made our second stop at the photobooth to show off the silly glasses that we won.

3 pm :: A little bit of relaxing before Ivan and I headed home. Professor has the brightest blue eyes ever.

4 pm :: Kaylah throwing a tantrum because it was time for us to leave. Ha! No, not really.

5 pm :: I am an old lady so I need to keep my pills in one of these containers to make sure I take all of them. Give me a break! I have to take three prenatal vitamins every day!

6 pm :: Some tunes for the ride home.

7 pm :: The sun going down over Buffalo right before we got to the border. It was a lot busier than normal because of fellow Canadians coming back from March Break vacations.

It took us a lot longer than normal to get home because of the silly border but it was worth it for a weekend of fun with our friends.
