I am totally crazy about these new shoes from Blowfish and I can't wait for the snow to get the heck out of town so that I can wear them outside instead of just around my living room. They are super comfy and such a great colour that I know they will go with just about everything.

When I got pregnant I had the idea that I would not buy any maternity clothes because I have so many things that would work well and get me through. While I still think that a lot of my clothes will work well (see, this skirt totally works) I am really happy that I picked up two pairs of jeans. The weather has been so yucky that I have been wearing jeans a lot more than normal and having that stretchy fabric to pull up over my expanding stomach is so comfortable. Not to mention it adds an extra layer for cold days! I don't really know why I'm mentioning this in a post where I am clearly not wearing these jeans that I love so much. It just popped into my head.

Photo an Hour :: Walking around town

Yesterday I decided to take a photo an hour. I thought it would be a good idea because I was heading out of the house for a few hours. It was an ok idea but lugging my heavy camera around all day when I was doing a lot of walking was not the most fun thing ever. Oh well, it is nice to have the day documented in photos.

8 am :: It was sunny in the morning and I was so happy!

9 am :: Sleepy Farva. I love when Farva lays on the bed in my office. His little black and white self against all the colour in the room looks so awesome.

10 am :: I am participating in a pregnancy related study and the second part was yesterday. It is pretty interesting. I took the bus down the mountain to get there.

11 am :: After the study I headed back up the mountain to get my monthly bloodwork done. I arrived at the health center and it was so busy that people were outside the door waiting. I turned around and headed to the mall for awhile to kill time before I went back.

12 pm :: Before I headed back to get my bloodwork done I decided that I should probably eat something.

1 pm :: Gross, old snow. It snowed a lot last night and is still going this morning so all the gross snow will be covered with fresh stuff. I'm done with snow for the year...it can just stop now.

2 pm :: I walked back home and then poured myself a nice glass of juice.

3 pm :: I was exhausted from all the walking I did so I had a little lay down. Some kitties joined me because all they do is lay around.

4 pm :: Admiring my candy coloured crochet hooks.

5 pm :: Blankets on top of blankets.

6 pm :: I made a stirfry for dinner and I didn't think that it was something I felt like eating until Ivan suggested making a peanut sauce for it. Good idea Ivan, it was great!

7 pm :: Ivan had band practice so I headed to the couch to watch a movie and almost immediately fell asleep. Yep, that's what happens when you walk around for a few hours. You fall asleep by 8 pm.

Taking these photos made me realize how much more colourful my life is at home compared to out in the world. I can't wait for spring when there are some flowers to brighten things up outside.

It is really snowing out there today so I am definitely not going anywhere. I have laundry to do and second breakfast to eat so I'm off! Have a good Wednesday.

Well, it is a good thing I spilled the beans about my pregnancy last week because since then my belly hasn't stopped growing. It took me a long time to start showing but it is definitely not easy to hide now. Speaking of being pregnant, that's the pose I'm supposed to do all the time now right? Third one down. Hands on belly is the standard pose for pregnant ladies I think, the tongue sticking out is just me adding some extra flair.

Oh yeah, and I am pretty excited about my new blue hair. As I mentioned, I haven't been bleaching but at least this darker blue helps hide my out of control roots a little. My hair has actually been feeling really great lately and I think it is thanks to my new Veganese conditioner from Lush. My hair definitely feels like hair and not straw so that's always a plus.

55/365 :: Breakfast of champions. We were out of bread and I absolutely needed some toast with peanut butter and jam for breakfast so I went out bright and early to get some. Oh yeah, and I'm using my February glass because, duh, it's February.

Exciting news!

Yeah, that's a baby. And guess where it's hanging out? Yep, in my tummy.

I have been sitting on this secret for almost four months now and I have been dying to share our exciting news with all of you. As of today I am 20 weeks along (halfway already!) and we just found out on Tuesday that it is a baby boy that we will be expecting July 11th. We are so thrilled and can't wait to meet this little guy.

So now you know why my boobs have been looking so huge lately. I know you've been wondering.

Photos :: Make up

As promised, here is the photo version of how I do my make up in case you want a quick reference without having to watch the video.

Here is my current make up stash.

No makeup. In case you didn't know, my eyebrows and lashes are pretty darn light.

Step 1: Give myself some eyebrows with the lightest colour from this kit...

Step 2: I put on some tarte blush in blissful.

Steps 3-6: I do my eye make up starting with Sephora eyeshadow in Universal Beige all over my lid, followed by Cocoa Powder in the crease. I use Urban Decay 24/7 waterproof liquid eyeliner in Perversion starting just inside the middle of my eye and going out into little wings at the edges. I put on some Urban Decay Lush Lash Mascara and then finish with the lightest shimmery powder from my eyebrow kit just underneath my brow.

Step 7: I throw a little Burt's Bees lipgloss in Hibuscus on my lips and I'm all done! I always finish by doing CoverGirl poses into the mirror. No, not really.

So there it is! My make up routine. It is pretty basic and simple and I don't change it up very often unless I am feeling very super adventurous.
