Photos :: Flowers in the Fall

Last week while I was in the Distillery District for the Blurb event I (of course) took some photos. My favourites were the ones of the flowers. It was such a dark, dreary day and the planters just looked so bright and beautiful. I really love the colours.

I absolutely want to have some mums in our garden at this time next year. They are so pretty!

I learned a lot about our garden this year, one of those things being that I am not good at planning it out and looking after it. Our neighbours have really nice gardens and I should really just copy theirs so that ours looks as pretty next year. Good plan right?

  2. That looks like a pretty place to be! And honestly the only way I really learn things is copying other people! Haha, so I say go for it ;) if they seem to know what they're doing then it's a good place to start

  5. Pretty! I love the brick streets too.
Gardening is definitely something that has a learning curve...you'll get better and figure out more of what works every year :)

  6. I really love that picture of the ivy on the wall... the hazy weather gives it a cool effect.

  8. I'm having such garden woes this year. We bought a house in January, and like you all our neighbours have glorious gardens. Ours looks dreadful next to them, but I'm awful at tending the garden, so I think I'm going to have to get used to having an inferior yard.

  10. What gorgeous pics!
Mums are beautiful! You should definitely give them a shot. I live in the south so a lot of plants can't be grown here, one of the pretty winter blooming ones are azaleas though. It's nice having that color when all the other leaves die, you know? :)
