photos :: besides the jellyfish

Besides the jellyfish, my favourite thing to look at at Shedd Aquarium was the pretty coral, and the seahorses. They are so adorable. Oh, and the bottom of starfish. Here are a few more of my photos from our trip to the aquarium (it was really hard to narrow them down).

So many pretty colours.

Happy first day of October. I know I saw this all the time but this year has flown by. The middle of the month will be one year since Ivan and I moved into our home. I can't believe it has been that long...especially since we still haven't had that housewarming party we keep talking about.

    Oh I just can't resist those little tube feet on the sea stars! Their water vascular system is top notch! Great shots Elycia!

    That aquarium is incredible! I especially love sea horses. They're such delicate and dainty little creatures. Beautiful photos!

    When we went to the Portland aquarium, our favorites were the jellyfish and the mother-bleeping huge crabs from Japan. They were bigger than my 2-year old and would probably eat him if given the chance.

    Those sea horses.. wow! -- I actually find aquariums to be quite underwhelming, but the pictures you get out of them are pretty fantastic.
