4. This ring is amazing.
How clever is this pencil ring? I love it.
3. This necklace.
The necklace sits to look like a peter pan collar. So adorable.
2. I am completely crazy about these shoes.

1. The best thing I saw last week. I watched a documentary on Monopoly called Under the Boardwalk: The Monopoly Story and saw the most awesome thing ever.
Ok, do you see what makes that awesome? Now, get ready for it. When this guy is talking again later in the movie the shot gets even more amazing...
Seriously, not exaggerating, this is hands down the best thing I have seen in a long time. It makes me really happy and I love it. I kind of freak out in the best possible way everytime I see it.
I hope you are all having a fantastic Friday. Play a game of Monopoly for me today! Ivan and I have played two games since I watched the documentary and I am the undefeated champion. Watching the documentary totally improved my game. And, in case you are ever unsure, I am in fact a total dork.

Ahh the cat!!!! Just spotted him!
ReplyDeleteI love this ring, I got the super-cute heart-shaped pencil sharpener necklace from the same designers! http://www.meandzena.com/NECKLACES/c19/p81/Women-Who-Draw-Too-Much-Heart-Sharpener-Necklace/product_info.html
ReplyDeleteawesome eh? :D

It's a Mr. Cat Lady. I suck so bad at Monopoly, it's embarrassing.
ReplyDeletei love the ring ... but for $25.00 ... i will pass. ha. ha!! have a great weekend. love the dress. (:
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen the monopoly documentary but I think it might be similar to The King of Kong. :) Have you seen it?
ReplyDeleteI have seen The King of Kong and it is not that similar. The Monopoly one talks more about the game with less focus on individual people. I looooove The King of Kong though!
DeleteI love documentaries, I get to do the ads for the TV station I work out for the weekly 'best of' doco screening, so a lot of new movies come into my life that way. Like Floene said, it sounds like King of Kong maybe? I haven't seen that one, will DEFINITELY watch the Monopoly doco!
ReplyDeleteI watched about half of the Monopoly documentary, I'll have to finish watching it. Thank you so much for pointing out that cat photo - that *is* pretty amazing! Monopoly is pretty fun, however, one time stuck in a snow storm, my friends & I played - I literally could not land on a property - all of properties got bought up before I could even buy a single one. It was my worst game of chance ever in life, I needed my lucky cat I guess.
ReplyDeleteI am actually really surprised I noticed the cat awesomeness because I am really oblivious and I was doing other things as I was watching it. The cat must have called out to me!
DeleteThat is crazy!!!! What bad luck!
Bahaha I stared at this forever like "Elycia, what the heck? You're crazy" and then I saw it. Oh my gosh…I need to go watch this now. I have to see more :)
ReplyDeleteHahaha! I figured that if I could see it anyone could! I am so not observant!
DeleteI am such a sucker for wooden jewelry, that collar necklace is just perfect!
ReplyDeleteAlso after I spotted the cat in the second photo I wondered if I had missed him hiding in the first one...so... way to make a fool out of me :P.

Isn't he awesome, just peeking over there!?
Deletebaaaaahahahaha! so funny!
ReplyDeleteMy husband and I like to take odd photos (we did this one for our friend's birthday that was just our disembodied heads floating on a black background ala weird 70's stuff) and I'm now pestering him to do one with the cat(s). I'd then place it will all the 'normal' family photos and see who notices. I think it would be amazing. Uh-may-zing!
ReplyDeleteThat necklace! I am in LOVE with Peter Pan collars lately! :)

ReplyDeleteWhen I figured out what you were giggling about the Monopoly guy, I couldn't help but laughing hysterically too. Oh that little kitty.
Now I really want to play a game of Monopoly.

ReplyDeleteOh my gosh! I wish we could get a close up of that portrait - he looks sooooooo happy. So glad you caught that :)
ReplyDeleteI love that pencil ring!
ReplyDeleteHa! I LOVE Monopoly. I'll have to check this out. :)
ReplyDeleteAlso, I saw that him and his cat portrait before even reading.
AH-mazing!
Thanks so much,

So funny I watched that documentary a couple weeks ago! I have a fascination of watching weird documentaries. The people in them are always hilarious and this one, the story about how the game came to be was really interesting. Have you seen Word Wars? It's a documentary on Scrabble. Check it out!

Oh god, as a teacher I feel that my ownership of that ring is pretty much necessary.
ReplyDeleteAt our house we've recently become obsessed with the Monopoly Deal card game -- we're playing it at least three times a day. Highly recommend!
ReplyDeleteCute stuff! The documentary sounds great! I'm going to watch it for sure. I haven't played Monopoly in many years but I got pretty good at it when I was a kid. I sense a game is in our future :)
ReplyDeleteyour collar crazy! :)

ReplyDeleteSilly kitty =^.^=
ReplyDeleteI love this. :) And your blog! So cute. You've got yourself a new follower:D If you like poetry, photography or simple words, you check mine out some time.
ReplyDeleteThat cat popping up in the second picture reminds me sOoooo much of that children's book series which had a little mouse hiding in the background throughout all of them... I can't remember which one?! The Berenstain Bears? Something, maybe by Robert Munsch?? I can't remember, but I guess what I am trying to say is that, these photos are charming in their own way.
