outfit c/o ModCloth
(except brooch & belt :: thrifted)
This is definitely a twirling dress but please ignore the wrinkles. I did an amazing job steaming my dress to get it completely wrinkle free...and then I went and sat in the car for an hour and undid all my hard work. Oh well! Still pretty!
Today on the ModCloth Blog I'm sharing some of my favourite places to visit when Ivan and I head into Toronto. Are you from the area? I would love to hear about some of the places that you always visit.
This was my first experience taking outfit photos on the actual street and it was stressful but less than I thought it would be. I just tried to act like what I was doing was completely normal and that I was a very important person doing a very important photoshoot. I probably fooled about one person (a toddler walked by and thought I was very impressive).

I love the cardigan... a lot. I live in Toronto, and I love going to Kensington Market, down to the lake near the harbourfront centre and going on one of those tourist-y ( and cheap) boat cruises... also High Park is pretty neat for walking and photo taking.
ReplyDeleteThat ring is adorable! I cracked up that a toddler was the only one fooled :) I'm always impressed by people who have the courage to take their pictures out in public, so way to go!
ReplyDeleteI love this outfit Elycia, it really suits you, think this is my fave of your outfit posts so far. The cardy is sooo cute! Jo x

Love this outfit! And that ring is tooooo cute!
ReplyDeleteNext time you're in Toronto and the weather is nice, I recommend walking through roncesvalles and gathering supplies for a High Park picnic. On Mondays there's even a farmers market at Sorauren park that's excellent. I miss working in that neighbourhood!
ReplyDeleteI love all the colours!
ReplyDeleteThis is probably my favorite outfit I've ever seen you wear! The details are so cute! Glasses everywhere! :)
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, I was very surprised when is saw this super cute outfit! My first thought was "this is my new favourite outfit from Elycia". I love this colour combo and the totally awesome cardigan. And your nails!
ReplyDeleteI read the article on the Modcloth Blog and it made me miss this kind of shops in Hungary, because we haven't got any vintage thrift store.

ReplyDeleteThat ring is so freaking adorable.
ReplyDeleteThis might be my favorite outfit your shared. I love the colors, textures and print! It all looks so good on you.
ReplyDeleteGosh darnit you are CUTE! I love that dress cut on you.
ReplyDeleteThis is absolutely gorgeous! I even think you've managed to cure my natural aversion to flatforms, so thanks for that ;D And I absolutely love your tights! ♥
ReplyDeleteSarah ^.^
What an adorable dress! I LOVE the bright colours. I also really love your little ring in the shape of eye glasses. Too cute XD
ReplyDeleteI love everything about this!!!
ReplyDeleteEverything about that outfit is perfect. And toddlers are usually pretty good judges!
ReplyDeleteGreat outfit! I've been eyeing that cardigan on Modcloth. I haven't worked up the courage to take outfit photos in public places with just my camera and tripod. If someone else is taking the photos I feel like it makes it seem like it could be something important happening... I think. Now if I could only convince anyone to take photos for me.
ReplyDeleteOMG.. SO rockin cute!! and i love those leggings.. now all you need is your pink hair! :-p

ReplyDeleteI think this outfit may have just pushed me in favour of buying that cardigan. I've been tossing it up for a while because I wasn't sure what the colour would be like IRL, but it looks amazing!
ReplyDeleteI love your outfit. I would have been totally fooled by your importance. ;)
Oh Elycia, you look so beautiful! I love all the colours <3
ReplyDeleteOooooh I love this, everything matches so perfectly! I'm a sucker for matching colors.
ReplyDeleteI'm new to your blog and I'm absolutely smitten already:) I just love a gal who doesn't shy away from color! Street side photos are so awkward...gotta love the gawkers, right? Oh well, perhaps it will have made their day to witness someone important or famous doing a photo shoot..hehe. Quite a perfect outfit from head to toe! xx Marisa
ReplyDeleteYay! You look totally adorable in your outfit and I love your article on Modcloth!
ReplyDeleteI'm so in love with the colour combo you've got going on here. So cute!!
ReplyDeleteAlso, congrats on your first outdoor, in public photoshoot. You made it look natural, which is totally impressive. Those are the absolute worst. I try to avoid them at all costs. (That's why I have a boyfriend who's a photographer. It saves me half the awkwardness when there's a dude taking my picture, rather than a tripod.)
Happy Sunday!
