So, as I mentioned, I decided to start lightening (and growing) my hair. It will be a kind of long process so expect some silly looking hair for awhile. Well, you can basically always expect silly looking hair from me, but this is a different kind of silly. My hairdresser is pretty awesome and she helped me fix my mullet as well as started the lightening process. I'm pretty excited to get my white hair back eventually.
I am also pretty excited about my new shoes. I don't generally have a lot of shoe luck while thrifting but I was so happy to find these beauties last week. I also found some really awesome red and white heels but the price was a little too high for used shoes in my opinion!
♥elycia
You look so cute in these pictures :)
ReplyDeleteoh my god, elycia! i love your hair!! you look so beautiful!
ReplyDeleteaw shucks! thanks Kaylah!
DeleteThose shoes are like brad new! Nice find. Cute thrifted shoes are ALWAYS 2 sizes too small for me! You must have a very understanding hairdresser, mine was upset when I wanted to lighten from red... I think he may have had a nervous breakdown if mine was black! Needless to say I lost the argument, aside from a few 'slices' of lightness! Yours looks cute anyway, even though it a work in progress! Isn't indecisiveness fun?!

ya, my hairdresser is the bomb dot com. she's really awesome. and yes you are reading that correctly...i did indeed type "the bomb dot com".
DeleteWhoa, those shoes are a great find!! Also, your hair looks great. I really love the cut, even though it's "in between."
ReplyDeleteyou looks so adorable, i love the mix of colours and patterns - very spring like

Love the warm auburn-ish hue to your hair - looks even more fab with those glasses & that lipstick (coral shade?)! You look absosmurfly adorable!
ReplyDeletePlus, those shoes? Fab-u-lous!
thank you Caren!!
Deletei am in love with your bangs....i know it sounds weird...but i just can't seem to get my cut right. i think yours are perfect. i'm hoping if mine grow out a bit they will look better =) your new cut and color looks fab!
ReplyDeleteI am pretty excited about your white hair too. I have been reeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaalllly wanting to bleach mine but I have a lot of hair so I bet it would be redonkulously expensive. boo.
ReplyDeleteps- i have that sweater too! and love it.
so basically we are like twins, right?
pretty much identical twins ;) hehe
DeleteYou look so much younger on these photos. Not that you usually look that old. You just look extra young here :)
ReplyDeleteYour hair is SO cute!!
ReplyDeleteLove the hair actually! It will be fun to see it go gradually lighter haha :3
ReplyDeleteThose shoes are fantastic, so clean and awesome and bright white too!

pretty hair, can't wait to see it growing back... and more, can't wait to see ALL the different tries you'll do with these "work on process" hair :-)
ReplyDeleteI usually read your blog in my reader, but I had to come over to the site to tell you that this outfit is probably my favorite over the time I have been following you! You are beautiful!
ReplyDeletethat is so nice! thank you very much Kristin! :D
DeleteYou look so gorgeous in these pictures! Both your hair, and your outfit are so pretty. Not to mention, your living room! I am completely smitten. It seems so bright and cheerful!
ReplyDeleteI really loved your white hair, and pink, but I think your hair looks so so beautiful like this too!

I love your hair!! You look so cute!! And that dress is stunning!!!
ReplyDeleteThis outfit is so great! And your hair looks gorgeous! I think the brown locks look incredible and compliment you so well.
ReplyDeleteYour hair look SO CUTE like this. You look so adorable. And the dress is very pretty too. :]
ReplyDeleteyour hair is lovely!! It is so my inspiration for growing mine out now!! Love this whole outfit :) :)
ReplyDeleteI love your hair when it's white!
ReplyDeleteI love the curl and wave in there. and the color is awesome!! If i could change hair with anyone, it would be you... but then you'd be stuck with mine so i dont think you'd make the trade!
ReplyDeleteYou look great!
ReplyDeleteThat dress is beautiful! Such a splendid print. =)
And, I like that cardigan paired with it.
That haircut looks adorable, not weird at all! I finally found my first hairdresser who doesn't make me look weird when I leave her chair, mullet or not. Great hairdressers are a rare breed, I think.
ReplyDeleteVery cute outfit and I actually really like your hair that shade -- it's very soft and warm! :)
ReplyDeleteJust curious.. How much is too much for used shoes?!
ReplyDeletehaha! Depends on the person, the awesomeness of the shoe and the condition of the shoe in my opinion. There was a pretty awesome pair of red & white heels but there was quite a bit of ripping/peeling on the heel and they were $15. It was the condition + the price that turned me off.
DeleteYour dress and shoes are adorable! I know how you feel, cute thrifted shoes are always hard for me to find in my area. Since I have a very average size foot, I feel like everyone else gets them before I can.
ReplyDeleteOn another note, I love this auburn hair on you! I love the crazy colors too, but this looks very natural and warm on you. Although I might be biased, because this is so close to my normal hair color.
xo, Megan

I love your hair and I think that this is one of my favorite looks from you! (although the red dress with the blue tights was pretty epic...)
ReplyDeleteYour hair looks awesome...almost like a wig, but in a its-set-so-perfectly wig way, not a weird wig way. Got it? Haha. I also love that dress and your curtains which could be completely interchangeable.
ReplyDeleteWhen are you coming to Peterborough again? Oh & are you coming to Blog Podium? Even though it's on your bday...promise we'll celebrate that night!
haha! I kind of feel like it looks like a wig but not in a good way!
DeleteI think I'll be in Peterborough again at the end of April. And I will probably come to the Blog Podium thing. As long as I get a vegan cupcake sometime during the day!!
I love your hair! Just curious, who did the first clipboard drawing? (Top corner,on the left side) I like it!
ReplyDeletethat drawing was done by the lovely and talented Kat Cameron. Here is a link to where she posted about it!

OK, I know this is just a transitional hair color, but you have to know--IT LOOKS SO GOOD ON YOU! Just had to stop by and tell you so.
ReplyDeleteAw! I love this hair color on you! Actually, your hair generally just looks awesome in this post. <3
ReplyDeleteThat dress is very pretty on you, too - very flattering. Well, that and I'm a sucker for florals. ;)
Love the hair and that dress looks wonderful on you! <3 blue!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the light hair!!! It looks so much more..."you."
ReplyDeleteOh cute, you look like you stepped out of the 1940s or something. I love how your dress matches your curtains! hehe, you could stand in front of it and then jump out and scare your cats.
ReplyDeleteoh and by the way i love seeing how you have put up the hair bow illustration. it looks great! thanks ;)
xxx Kat
thanks kat! I love that drawing and so do a lot of the people who come visit our home!
DeleteOmg, so cute!!
ReplyDeleteI think your hair looks very cute here, and that really is an awesome dress! Perfect for Spring!
ReplyDeleteI'm a huge fan of your new hair!!!!
ReplyDeleteThat hair color is adorable on you :)
ReplyDeleteYou are totally pulling the 'sexy librarian' look off here! And if you saw one of my recent hair-hacking posts.. you'll know that a mullet can be made funky...just reverse it! ;o)

cb
thanks! ya, i am crazy about this cardigan!
DeleteYour new 'do looks lovely! I'm a big fan of the cut. Aaaand I hope you don't mind, but I think I will be stealing your clipboard decoration idea when I move into my new apartment next month :)
ReplyDeletehttp://viennawaitsblog.blogspot.com/
Nope, I don't mind at all! I got the idea from someone else too!
DeleteI LOVE your new hair! Keep it like that! Hahaha. Seriously. Although I love the really light & pink & blue. hahahah. Okay, it's your hair. Do what you want.
ReplyDeleteBut it looks great.
haha! I neeeeed some pink hair in my life :)
DeleteI want your clothes. I like the new hair colour too. I'm impressed that there are so many colours in the world, and you have managed to find so many of them!
ReplyDeleteI love your white hair but this look is beautiful on you!

It looks fantastic!! You look wonderful with every single hair color that exists, it's amazing!!
ReplyDeletethanks so much kate! Your pink hair is making me miss mine so much!!
Deletethat dress is stunning, love the pretty shoes as well
ReplyDeleteIt's good you are doing gradual lightening. I had long, black hair in December that I wanted to lighten and had a stylist turn it soda pop orange because he didn't know what he was doing. I cut it short and am slathering it in oils and conditioner until it grows out again!
ReplyDeleteLovely!
ReplyDeleteohh I actually really like the lighter hair! Being a pink head myself I'm so used to colorful candy hair... it feels "normal" to me. So the color you have now actually stands out...haha.
ReplyDeleteYou are as adorbs as ever! :)
xo Jenny Holiday
ya! bright hair feels normal to me too so I feel totally odd and not like myself at the moment. My hair is just too 'normal'
DeleteLove the hair cut and the colour ... and your make up.
ReplyDeleteSimply beautiful.
She did a great job with your hair! Love all the blues and mustard in these photos.
ReplyDeleteWow! Your hair looks adorable! If this is what you consider silly hair, I must look ridiculous!

i love the new haircut and color, it look super cute. i am envious of your super light pink hair you had. it's been a long time since i used to do mine. i always did mine flamingo pink. so much fun. i am now back to super long "virgin" hair when i see all these cute cuts and colors it makes me want to do mine again! but alas, i will just live vicariously through others!

riddle: whats fun and canadian and cute all over?
ReplyDeletelove this cut and color on you! i know you got plans, but right now i'm diggin' it! oh and...cutest glasses award to you, for sure.
I love the new hair! I think we all are always in the process of leting our hairs grow! And the shoes, they´re killer-cuties.
ReplyDeletesaludos!
I got so bummed when I saw the shoes were thrifted. I wanted them so badly!
ReplyDeleteGO BACK TO LIGHT PINK HAIR!! :D
ReplyDeleteIt's like your in a 'normal' disguise. Now you can walk among the civilians and not be recognized! ;)
ReplyDeleteOh, my! I think I have a new hair goal!
ReplyDeleteYour hair dresser must be magic, your 'mullet' look so stylish now I want one!
ReplyDeleteI love the hair. super cute! The lipstick color you chose is great too!
ReplyDeleteI love your hair that color!
ReplyDeleteyou look awesome :)
I also love the clip boards on your back wall cool idea for pictures :)
Oh, you silly sausage, I LOVE your hair! I don't think it's possible for your to look bad. I really like your dress, too! Your outfit posts alway make me so envious of your wardrobe ;) and your self portrait skills! As per usual, in my photos I just look like I've choked on air, am really bored, or have been thinking about something REALLY weird.
ReplyDelete-charlotte <3
Oh my gosh! My high school music teacher always used to say "silly sausage" and now I love that phrase! hehe!
Deletethanks Charlotte!
Your hair looks adorable! The colour is really nice. With a professional's help, I'm sure you can get back to your white hair quickly. Your hair is already quite a bit lighter. Also, that's a great dress!
ReplyDeletexo Jen
For some reason I really love every outfit of yours that involves purple tights.
ReplyDeleteI actually think that colour is BEAUTIFUL! on you, even if it's just an in between stage colour.
ReplyDeleteI'm trying to get mine back to white blonde again too (well it's pink now, but I used it to cover a little of the red residue)..the red dye stained it, but I'll get there...hopefully! ;)
There's just something about white isn't there. I can't stay away from it now, ha!
DeleteYou look so so adorable and cute!
ReplyDeletePlease, let us see this cut and color for a while longer...! I think it suits you very much.
Greets
Looking at those pictures again, I think, this look suits you very much, the colors, the dress, the hair, the glasses. One of your best, I think.
ReplyDeleteMajor cuteness! Your hair looks incredible, I know this is only a transitional colour, but I really like it as it is. In the 3rd picture from the top you really remind me of Kristen Bell, back in the Veronica Mars days. Also, that dress is magical.
ReplyDeleteAw thanks! I'll take that comparison!
DeleteNice Elycia! And the hair is looking rrrrreally good, you can pull literally ANYTHING off!
ReplyDeleteoh my god. really. you look SO INCREDIBLE!!!! Your hair looks sooooo good.
ReplyDeleteYour haircut is so cute on you! I'm lightening my hair too. I'm so impatient though.
ReplyDeleteI love that hair color! You pull everything off so well.
ReplyDeleteLoving the hair!! And how you styled it, too! It looks so cute!!
ReplyDeleteAh! Elycia! I love your hair! It's super cute. Also, love the mustard yellow cardigan & pink lipstick, they look perfect together.

ReplyDeleteYour hair looks great! I really love the print on your dress too. The olive cardigan looks awesome with it.
ReplyDeleteOkay I just have to say, this hair color REALLY suits you. You look so pretty!
