You may be asking yourself "Is she serious with this sweater?" Let me answer that by saying, yes. Yes I am completely serious. I have had this sweater since at least Grade 9, I may have even got it earlier than that, I can't remember. I wore it so much in Grade 9, it was my favourite. Since then it has been one of those things that I never planned on wearing again but just couldn't get rid of. Well guess what? I did end up wearing it again. See? Sometimes I surprise even myself! Have you guys ever done this? Fun fact...you know the show What Not to Wear? One of the people who they were making over had this same sweater! My friends and I thought it was hilarious that I had the same one.
Ok so, that's my story. I hope everyone is having a good day!
Awh! Your hair looks so cute! Even though it is a pretty simple hair style, it is sometimes hard to get a happy medium of neat and messy. You should do a video tutorial or something! <3
ReplyDeleteYes! I have a blue and purple tie-dye dress from the 90s which I can't part with (I need ONE reminder of my teenage style) but never thought I'd wear again... but every so often I surprise myself by realising that it's the perfect dress for some event or other.

ReplyDeleteI actually wrote similarly about my blouse that you did about your cardigan.
I got this blouse when I was about eleven years. Its 20 years ago soon! Haha!
But when I was eleven it covered almost all of me. It was from the adult section of a mailorder clothes store called Ellos and it was my first ever adult piece of clothing. I was super proud. :-)
It was great to have in summer time because I have pale skin and lots of freckles and almost instantly get sunburnt so this was my surviver blouse during summer time.
Now it gives me a completely different look. Kind of amazing that it still holds together perfectly.

ReplyDeleteI have millions of t-shirts from my skateboading cool girl days ^^that I just never wear but absolutely can't get rid of. I wear them once in a while to bed or when I work out...but it's not giving them the respect they earned. I actually thought about making them in to a quilt or throw for my couch since a whole while now....I think that would look awesome

I had a sweater like that when I was in 6th grade. It was my mom's from the 70's. I LOVED it. Kid used to ask me if I had gotten dressed in the dark. They just didn't understand.

ReplyDeleteYou're not the only one. My mom had a similar sweater, just in a different type of fabric. Rainbow sweaters are DEFINITELY cool, especially if it trickled down from grandmother's to mother's to amazing craft ladies such as yourself.

My sweater claim to fame, is that I have an exact duplicate of the sweater that Julia Roberts wore in Steel Magnolias for the Christmas scene. I probably will never get rid of it!
