Hi!
So as you may remember, last year I started a 365 project where I was taking a photo a day for the whole year. Well, I forgot a day and then stopped. I decided to start over on my birthday...then I forgot a day somewhere along the way in that project too.
So this year I decided I needed a theme for my project to help me remember to do it. Themes totally help me remember things! So, this year, I decided to take a photo each day but with a colours theme. The idea just hit me one day and I feel like this is perfect for me. Here is my progress so far.
Each week I'm doing a different colour! I'm not sure how many colours I will do before I decide to repeat but I want all the weeks to have a colour gradient effect when I put them beside each other. Some days are more in your face with the colour and other days are a bit more subtle and I love that! I am having so much fun with this so far.
Are you doing a 365...excuse me...366 project this year? I have 2 others that I'm doing as well but I will share those another time.

I'm doing one! I'm doing a "what I wore" drawing each day.I haven't uploaded the last few days, but I'll be doing it tonight.Yours is looking great!

I'm doing a set of earrings per week for my creative challenge this year. I only just started last week but I'm excited. This is really going to push me like Project 365 did. I love these year long things, I'll be watching yours YAY
ReplyDeleteThis is such a lovely idea! Look forward to seeing more of this.
ReplyDeleteThis is really gorgeous, I love the idea!
ReplyDeleteHi Elycia! Nice project!
ReplyDeleteI started one too for the first time. Just like you I absolutely need a guideline to produce something so I decided to choose one and change if I get bored, which apparently happens every two weeks :)
You can see my first two weeks here
http://lespetitspapiersdemirae.wordpress.com/2012/01/15/projet-365/
My guideline was actually a line^^ (I decided to start simple!)
As I gained a few kgs after holidays, my next guideline is "watch my food". Litterally :) I don't eat 100% healthy, but I sure watch it by taking pictures :D
I might change my theme next week as it will be 2 weeks and I think my pics are getting redundant.
I think I'll upload on my blog at every theme change.
Come visit!
And keep 366-ing!
omigosh love it!! I'm so obsessed with colour palettes.. this just makes me happy - a great focus for a project for sure!

ReplyDeleteSQUEE! This is SO cute! I love what you've done so far! I'm looking forward to seeing how it progresses. It'll make for some beautiful photo collages in the end, I bet!
ReplyDeleteI started a 365 last year also, in an attempt to get me out of the house more, but I ended up giving up as the things in my house got a bit tedious!
ReplyDeleteThis year though I have joined in with a group of people and we get a prompt every day so it kicks my bottom into gear to do something!

What a nice project :)! Do you upload your picture every day or several pictures a week? And may I ask where? I would love to follow :). I started my first 365 project this year, it's named 'a Deer a Day' and you can view my pictures so far here if you like: http://www.dailydeer.blogspot.com :)! Good luck with your project!
ReplyDeleteGreat idea for a project! I'm sure it will turn out beautiful in the end!
ReplyDeleteWhat a super cool version of the 365 project. You always take wonderful pictures! (I especially like the one with your cat on it ;))
ReplyDeleteI made it about half way through a 365 project my sophomore year of high school. It was so much fun! During summer vacation I lost track of my days and ended up quitting :( I definitely want to do another 365 soon though. I love your colour idea!

I looove the idea of a photo a day- simply because not a lot of people do it and it's kind of a story when you think about it <3 Love it!
ReplyDeleteI really want to do a 365 project one day, I am just so busy all of the time with school and what not. I definitely will forget. The 52 weeks of instax project did not work out so well for me, haha.
ReplyDeleteThey are going to be so pretty all next to each other at the end of the year! I tried to do a photo a day last year too and I pretty much did the same thing as you. This year I decided to do a "365 Days Outside" project and go outside every day with my kids. And I take pictures of the fun things we do. Some days are just too cold though, so we don't always make it out. It's been fun so far.
ReplyDeletei did a 365 2yrs ago...and I am doing another one this year using my iphone and an app called my365.....this is a super cute idea you have here...good luck... i want to do one where i photograph my meals....yum
ReplyDeletesoooo rad. you got this, girlfriend.
ReplyDeleteAhhhh! That sounds like such a fun idea! I can't wait to see the blues.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous pics, and good idea with the themes! I'm doing a 365 project too and yesterday I found the best site to keep track of them! Its called ShutterCal and you can display all your photos in a calendar format - I'm now a little obsessed! Here's a link to mine: http://www.shuttercal.com/calendar/RachelEmma89/ I definitely recommend it :)
ReplyDeleteLove your blog, keep up the good work! x Rachel
this is such a good idea. I should try and capture more specific colours in my photography.
ReplyDelete:) x
This is a fabulous project! You could even do a colour a month matching the weather/occasions. Like feb would be red and march yellow for daffodils.
ReplyDeleteI am doing a 52 weeks project since I'm a little too forgetful for 366. I love how your little cat is in the orange category.

ReplyDeleteI'm going to do the same thing since I feel like my days have been stale.. D:
This is so pretty! I've tried to do 365 photo projects a few times but I always fail lol
ReplyDeleteI love this challenge, and your blog! So far, my challenges hav only been a week long, think I need step it up a little :)
ReplyDeleteI don't have a 365 project, because I tried a 30 day one, and i didn't keep up with it like I should have. haha, i'm pretty sure if I tried a 365, i would probably end up missing half the days! i really love this color idea!
ReplyDeleteOoh, what a fantastic idea! Can't wait to see more!!
ReplyDeleteI love this idea, you are a very good photographer. My photography skills need honing a little, but i have just invested in a very nice canon camera, so i am learning!
ReplyDeleteOh this is really cool! I'm doing a 365 photography project with this year - no theme, though. Just trying to practice how I arrange everything in my photos. If that makes sense...
ReplyDeleteJ'adore
