head to toe:
shirt - souvenir shop in NYC
cardigan - target
jeans - american eagle
boots - c/o Blowfish
Did you spot the horseshoe? It is in the second photo at the peak of the roof. That is the shed in our backyard and at first I thought it was dilapidated and gross but now I think it is pretty cute. Especially since I noticed the horseshoe. Adorable.
My I 'heart' NY shirt is the only thing I bought when we went to NYC. In case you can't tell it is a cute light pink which totally matched my hair at the time.
And, my boots! I really wanted these Blowfish boots because they remind me of Final Fantasy with that little part that comes over the front and back. I was nervous about them though because I have rather large calves. Always have, probably always will. I am happy to say that these boots are a safe bet for anyone blessed with large calves! They fit and I can even wear them with jeans without them being cut-off-your-circulation tight. Hooray!

ReplyDeleteAlso, YES, Final Fantasy! THAT is what those boots remind me of. I spy them on Blowfish all. the. time. and love them. I knew they reminded me of something, but couldn't think of what! ^_^

Power to the women with large calves. :]
ReplyDeleteYou just made my day! I was totally checking out your boots thinking there was no way they would fit me due to my calves, but if what you say is correct, I am TOTALLY BUYING THEM!!!! So cute and so exciting that they may actually fit! LOL!
ReplyDeleteemily, thank you! I dyed it a week or so ago :)
ReplyDeletei love your hair!! beautiful!! it makes me smile. wonder what color i could pull off. i've been adding red to my dark dirty blond hair lately ... always wanted to be a red head... it is fun... but your colors are just fabulous!! (:
ReplyDeleteYour hair colour is utter perfection in these photos! You're making me miss my full coloured hair!
ReplyDeleteI can't even begin to explain how much I appreciate this blog post... I have really thick calves and struggled with it for a long time, until I just stopped making myself feel like crap and accepted the fact that there is nothing I can do to change it! Boots are a struggle sometimes because they are either so tiny I get depressed that they don't even go up over my leg... or they're so tight that it's difficult to wear them with jeans. Thanks for the heads-up on the blowfish boots!
ReplyDeletejust had to say i'm SOOOO glad you reviewed these boots!!!! i ALSO have big calves, and have been stalking those boots for, well, forever. yayayay!!! thanks :)
ReplyDeleteI like your way of dressing you! It is always very cute! And your hair color is wonderful!
ReplyDeleteYou look fabulous. I love those boots. I just bought some super wide calf boots from wideshaft boot a New york Boot Company. There are having a huge sale on at the moment which is always a plus!
