Hello friends!
It is an exciting time for Ivan and I. I didn't want to announce it until it was officially official because I didn't want to jinx anything but...we bought a house! We started moving in on Monday and we are thrilled. Super busy, but thrilled. The internet hasn't been set up yet but I should have blog posts going up for the rest of the week. I want to share some home peeks but the really good ones will probably have to wait until it doesn't look like a box storage facility. For now here are the sneakiest of peeks from our new place.
Pretty curtains in the kitchen. These came with the house. They are cute for now but we are definitely on the hunt for even cuter curtains!
Design on the tiles in the kitchen. Cute!
Super old stove with pretty fonts. It didn't work but our electrician friend took a look at it last night and got two burners working. Still not sure if it will become fully operational but we are crossing our fingers!
I got these pretty mixing bowls as a shower gift from my awesome cousin Lana. (she reads my blog, hi Lana!) I have been dying to use/display them! The colours are perfect.
These display shelves are right beside the front door. I have started to paint them white and I can't wait to make cute little displays on them! We plan on changing them frequently for fun!
Me in the bathroom. I can't wait to redo the bathroom.
I know these peeks don't show much but I plan on taking lots more photos of the house! Want to hear something crazy? This house is the same layout as the house my parent's lived in when I was born. Our parents didn't see the house until the deal was done so we found this out after we had purchased it. Isn't that cool!?
I hope everyone is having a good day!
♥elycia
ps. Does anyone have any favourite home decor blogs/websites! I love looking around to get ideas. Or have you done something really cool in your own home that you want to share? Let me know!

ReplyDeleteI know it sounds redundant by now with every commenter saying "Congrats" but..CONGRATS! I know exactly how hard it is to get a home and I am surprised my fiance and his family found a house so quick within a month.
ReplyDeleteI know for a fact that this house will bring you quite of fun and honestly, I could not help but to picture you sprucing up the house with bright colors in a retro style. I hope Ivan agrees with those ideas, if they are what you are planning! ;]
On a daily basis, I just usually tour through http://myfuturehome.tumblr.com/ for inspiration. And you can always look at Kaylah's house for inspiration. She's quite the decorator and one of my faves. ;] ;] ;]

I seriously hope it's not just me seeing him...
