photos :: project 365 update

Once again, here is a bit of an update on my 365 project.
I love taking photos of outfit details in the car.
Super fun day.
Super pretty packaging.
Another car dress shot! I love the colours in this dress so much.
Hair, hair, hair.
Nails, nails, nails. I loooove different shades of the same colour. Like, really love it.

I have really been enjoying this project. I have learned so much more about my camera by using it every single day. I love shooting in manual mode and playing around with the settings. Do you guys ever take your camera off of 'auto' and experiment? Are there things you wish you knew about your camera? A 365 is definitely a good way to get to know your camera better.

    I try to always shoot in manual mode. I find the photos even turn out much better than when it's in auto. Your nails are awesome! Love that color.

    jacquie, ya for your package! yes i did use tape. i used to do it in high school all the time and recently Kaylah reminded me of that method!

    LOVE that nail design! LOVE!!! I've been thinking of doing something pretty similar. ♥ And I agree, clothing detail shots are perfect in the car.

    I would, and may, start a 365 camera! However, the camera my sisters bought me for my birthday doesn't have macro, any settings and no way of going manual. x.x I must save up for my own!

    I'm loving all these detail shots. Great idea to take your camera off manual and learn more about it! The funny thing is, I know a lot about the manual features of a camera but lack a really nice one where I could actually utilize my knowledge. Hopefully soon I'll have a nice one to play with!

    I love all these pictures, the outfit details the different shaded nails! I definitely experiment with my camera and lately with the aperture and more recently my auto focus is non-existent and will be forced into manual mode...ahh comfort zone is squashed..but maybe I will resurface with some beautiful shots like yours! :) Thanks for sharing. - Lo

    Those striped nails are really wonderful :)
    This month I started challenging myself to take a photo a day, and it has been fun so far. One of the things I'm saving up for is a "real" camera with better manual focus options, but for now the point and shoot is getting a lot more use.

    Such cute nails! I tried the triangle pattern with tape (ala Dainty Squid tutorial) and I've painted a base for some stripes to come soon.

    Soon being, whenever I can convince myself to sit still long enough for paint to dry.
