what i wore > contruction worker

head to toe: 
dress - Forever 21
cardigan - H&M
necklace - Cat in Glasses c/o Paper Sparrow
belt - thrifted
camera bag - Jo Totes
tights - Urban Outfitters
shoes - Blowfish

Ivan and I were grocery shopping last night and there were a bunch of construction vehicles in the parking lot so, as you can see, I took some outfit photos around them. I wanted to sit in one of them but chickened out because I didn't want a Stephanie Tanner 'car in the kitchen' moment.

See my cute necklace? The lovely Andrea of Paper Sparrow sent it to me and I am in love. I have kind of been wearing it everyday. Now, some people may say that you shouldn't wear a necklace with a dress that has fancy details on the neckline but to that I have to quote the infinitely wise Eric Cartman and say, "Whatever, I do what I want." I don't like fashion rules.  (is that even a real rule, or did i make it up?)

    I've had that necklace in my etsy favorites for a while. I love the pillow version of it too on her site. This outfit is cute even with the necklace! I don't think the not wearing a necklace if the dress has a fancy neckline is fashion rule, but I think fashion is what you make it.

    three things:
    1.) you look incredible. every outfit post of yours I think is my favorite, but there you go. You up the ante.
    2.) the fact that you mentioned Stephanie Tanner in relation to you getting in a tractor is hilarious. Please note that I laughed right out loud in my office and got strange looks.
    3.) I hate fashion rules too. There really aren't any. It works if you work it.

    I love that pendant. I ALMOST bought it the other day but bought a print instead. Dammit. But not really dammit because all of her work is spectacular.
