The other day I had my second roll of film that I took with my
Diana F+ camera developed. I learned a few lessons from my
first roll. Two of those lessons were, when using the
35mm back, stand
much further back then you think you need to and keep the subject in the centre of the viewfinder. While I effectively communicated the first lesson to Ivan, obviously I didn't adequately explain the second one. These photos are proof of that.
oh so close!
I still like them! I have a bunch of photos that turned out really cool, I will show you those soon.

Aww, haha at least you have nice outfits!! I'm glad you are figuring things out with the Diana, it inspires me to break mine back out and give it a go..thanks! I can't wait to see the other photos! :) - Lo
ReplyDeleteI like the second one! It's got a cool vintagey feel to it. Plus it's hella artsy ;)
ReplyDeleteI would be absolutely hopeless with these kinds of cameras.
Haha! These are awesome! I love how random and imperfect Diana is...it's all part of her charm. ;-)
ReplyDeleteI think they are awesome! I love the imperfect quality of the Diana. I think the more surprising the better. Can I come to Canada and play Diana with you? Someday!
ReplyDeleteeven if your head is chopped off, your pictures came out beautifully.
ReplyDeleteEven though these are some of your first attempts and such with that camera, they're still great.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see more.. I'm actually looking into some type of new camera.. whether it's a Holga or Diana, IDK.. haha.
Haha, these are too cute. My boyfriend does the opposite...instead I'll have all the head room in the world and you can't see the rest of me :p
ReplyDeleteThe second to last one is my favorite.

I have this camera too, and i was discouraged when my first role came out horribly wrong because of lighting. do you know where i can get tips on using it?
ReplyDeletehaha, that's hilarious! Ivan could really capture the Headless Horseman around Halloween time! ;) But in all seriousness, this is what makes analog the greatest... all the surprises along the way!
ReplyDeleteehhehe i love all the cut off heads!!
