If at first you don't succeed...give up and start over. That's the saying right? ;)
Some of you may have noticed, if you follow me on Flickr, that I abandoned my 365 Project. I started the year super pumped about the challenge and was really good at taking my daily photos. Then one night I was lying in bed, almost asleep, when I jolted fully awake thinking, "Oh no! I haven't taken my 365 photo today!" Of course I got up and took it. Then, another night I did not jolt awake in a panic...instead I woke up in the morning and realized, "Oh no! I completely forgot to take my 365 photo!". Ok, no big deal, I missed one day, I could deal with that. Then another morning I woke up and realized, "Oh no! I haven't taken a 365 photo in two days!". And that's when I think I threw in the towel. I decided to start fresh on May 26th (my birthday) and document one year of my life in daily photos. I was thinking I might share a few photos every week on the blog to keep me on track. Here's a few from this week!
I love my macro filters!
And my Farvie beans!
Are you doing a 365 project? Have you been keeping up with it?
♥elycia
im the same so slack! but i will persevere.
ReplyDeletelovely photos, i like the macro filters, are they the same as macro filters?
the picture of the cat is so cute! i went to a gallery showing a few years back and the guy took a polaroid every day for a year, mostly sky and landscape type pictures.. and they were arranged in order around a room and it was really interesting! you should keep pursuing the project :)

barnicles, i think you meant to ask something else, haha. because yes, macro filters and macro filters are the same thing ;)
ReplyDeletesteffy, that sounds really cool!
"If at first you don't succeed...give up and start over."
ReplyDeleteHa! I think I need to make that my new motto. :) It's not too late for me to start over on some of my failed New Year's projects!
haha! yes - I totally failed on this too :) but you've inspired me to pick it up again. I'll just have to pick the day now!
ReplyDeleteIm doing the p52 instead of 365 challenge. I have been keeping up and I love it!!!! cant wait to see more pics from you!
ReplyDeletehaha i love your cat!
ReplyDeleteI am designing a camera at the moment for a school project which allows people to easily snap pictures of everyday moments without the whole hassle you normally have to go through when taking a picture. You can wear it as a necklace and it takes a picture when you clench the pendant. I imagine it would be suitable for the 365 project, especially for those who tend to forget ;)
ReplyDeleteI actually let it die, I was doing pretty good at taking the pictures but not so great uploading them on time, so i got all mixed up and stuff. I thought of starting a 52 week one and maybe from that I'll get to the 365 one :D
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness the cat one is too adorable! I've never done a 365 project before, but I think it's a fun idea.
ReplyDeleteDon't you mean Larva? You love Larva beans
ReplyDeleteI am in the exact same situation! That happened to me this year and I am planning on starting again on my birthday (June 6). Good luck!!
ReplyDeletei knew i wouldn't be able to keep up with a 365 so i've been doing a project 52. one pic a week is more my speed :) farvie is sooooo cute in that pic~!
ReplyDeleteI am trying a 365 grateful (via Instagram and posted on tumblr with a cumulative weekly feature on blogger), but sometimes I forget to take a picture for the day! I find this ridiculous since my phone is ALWAYS with me. I am such a slacker!
ReplyDeleteI've always wanted to do a 365 project, but being stuck in an office from 9-5 four days a week doesn't lend itself to much inspiring subject matter, and by the time I get home it's dark and I'm tired and I'm afraid I'll forget. =P
ReplyDeleteMaybe when I'm self-employed I'll take on the challenge. ;)
I've been doing the 52 weeks of Instax and it's going ok I guess. Not as good as it could be? I sometimes forget. But I find the one a week is so much easier to remember than the 365. Also, I need to get some macro filters! These are lovely.
ReplyDeleteI've been thinking about doing the one year of my life one when I turn 30 in October. By the way, that kitty photo is awesome!

i started to do one of zoe but kept forgetting about it.
ReplyDeleteI originally wanted to take a pic a day but I know myself too well & I would end up slacking off. So I started a 52 week blog and post new pics each week, check it out www.flatt52.blogspot.com :)
ReplyDeleteThat photo of Farva is adorable! I think I'm going to start a 365, and I like the idea of doing a weekly recap post about it. Good luck!!
ReplyDeleteI was doing a 365 project, but it fell off the rails in March.
ReplyDeleteFarva is so cute!
I just restarted mine, too! Mine began on June 2nd :)
ReplyDeleteI think the saying goes, "If at first you don't succeed, start over but pretend it's the first go around; maybe no one will notice." :)
Farvie looks sooo cute there!! That could be a postcard. Love it!
