I have a quick little DIY to share with you today. One of my favourite pairs of tights got a gigantic run in them but, being the hoarder that I am, I just couldn't part with them. Instead of tossing them in the trash I decided to turn them into a cute pair of socks. It was very complicated so I will share detailed step by step instructions.
Step 1: Locate some tights that have a run, a stain or something equally disappointing near the top.
Step 2 : Get some scissors and cut the bottoms off of your tights. I cut them off right under the run because I wanted tall socks. You could cut them longer or shorter depending on your preference.
Step 3: Put them on and enjoy your fancy new socks!
Phew, that was tough. ;)

I always wear my tights with runs in them.. I'm trashy like that. ;) Never thought to make socks though! Cute!!

ReplyDeleteI've also been known to make footless tights or ankle tights out of tights with runs. Depends on where the run is!
