vintage roller skates

i am determined to use these skates this spring. i haven't worn them since i bought them almost 10 years ago. my old band played a halloween show and i wore these skates as part of a costume...i think i was just a person on skates, haha, not much of a costume. (note: i didn't wear the skates while i was playing...although that would have been cool!)

i hate wasting awesome vintage finds...i must use these again! do you have anything awesome you bought and need to use more?

    I can't wait to get back on skates! This winter has been putting me in some major withdrawls. I really want to do roller derby but my town has no team, and the closest district is like 2 hours away.

    Are you a good skater?

    These are glorious. You must wear them! I found this incredible cape coat this year at the thrift store, but I just can't figure out when/how to wear it without looking crazy. Plus, it's freezing here in Utah, and I don't know that a cape would be very practical...hmm...I'll figure it out!

    I have a pair of roller blades that my mom bought me when I was in 3rd grade and they STILL fit! I haven't used them in forever. That needs to change :)

    I wish I still had my roller skates but there were from when I was little & I grew out of them. But they had purple wheels & laces. I loved them...I couldn't skate worth anything though

    you just gotta use them!!! i love roller skating! one of my things to do this year is go roller skating again!! also i really want to go to a roller derby and better yet be in one!!! those girls are so kick a**!!!!!!!!!!!

    I would love to thrift a pair of vintage roller skates! I've been keeping my eye out but so far all i've come across are grungy 90s roller blades!

    I have a pair of skates. They look vintage but they aren't and I hardly ever use them. The footpaths around our house are so bumpy its a pain to ride on them. When we were at the vintage shop on the weekend there was a pair of vintage iceskates. I so wanted to buy them but I knew I would never use them.

    Wow, it looks like there's a few of us that have unused pairs of rolling skates in the closet. I have a black pair stored away, I've even bought shoe polish for them. They're coming out this spring and I'm going to get used to them finally. I have to, we just had a new derby league open up in town.
