so...i am diving into the world of video blogs, hehe.
the lovely Michelle over at Scissor Quirk asked me to participate in her blog party that is going on right now so i offered up a few headbands for a giveaway.
i hadn't actually made the holly headband yet so when it came time to do so i decided to turn it into a video tutorial!
so here it is...complete with some beach boys tunes. would christmas music have been more appropriate? maybe...but i love the beach boys.
if you feel like hanging out for 11 minutes (i know that's long) grab some felt, embroidery thread, needles, scissors and yarn and click below :)
holiday headband tutorial from love elycia on Vimeo.
*please note...the blog party is today...not yesterday, haha*
*another note...if you can't crochet, you can make a braided band...you'll see what i'm talking about, haha.*
love, elycia
haha you are adorable. and now we have bonded over the fonz :)
ReplyDeletei like how we both work with the same medium - but create very different things ;)
super cute tutorial! the camera loves you darling you should make more ^.^ thank you for sharing!!!
ReplyDeleteI dont comment often but this video deserves comment!!! you rocked! the 11 mins flew by like it was only two minutes. I also want to say (lol) you sperate floss the same way i do !!!! love it!
ReplyDeleteand I crochet weird too. I dont know what you would call the way i do but I hold my hands all wrong and I hold it in the wrong hand. I dont do well crocheting more that one line since I hold it wrong... and I agree you should completely make more videos. i was looking for an accent but since Im in northern minnesota we probably sound similar!
thanks so much for this! cant wait to see the next one!
Im just a little north of there! it is beautiful and friendly here!
ReplyDeleteand I wanted to say congrats on your engagement. im getting married in sept. it will be a vintage style themed wedding! cant wait!
cant wait to more wedding stuff on your blog!

Very cool! I've been meaning to try a video blog but I'm just a tad bit shy about getting in front of the camera! Haha. I think I sound funny on camera.

ReplyDeleteThis is awesome. I am always curious what bloggers voices sound like, and I kind of started to laugh because I always expect an accent but since we are both Canadian when I heard you, I heard no accent haha!
ReplyDeletePs. your headband is great. I made something like it the other day to wear to a craft sale I was selling things at. I did mine like mistletoe though with white berries! Very cute!
