Hello there! I’m Allison Kaye from Crafted Love. I’m from good-old Ohio, an Architecture/Graphic Design student, amateur photographer, horrible cook, and known to have too many projects and not enough time. I’m just popping by to do a guest post for miss Elycia (don’t you just love her style?) so let me tell you a little about what I do and love.
I l-o-v-e crafting. Anything and everything. It’s just such a great feeling when someone asks “Hey, I love that! Where did you get it?” and you can respond back with “Oh, I made it :]” My current obsessions are felt, silk flowers, and yarn. An odd combination but what I really love doing is reusing old things to make something really awesome. Here is a quick little DIY tutorial I found forever ago and decided to redo with my own twist.
First find a old tshirt, any pattern will do. I chose this shirt because it had a small hole in the front.
Start by cutting straight across the shirt. The more material you can use, the better. But because my shirt was a vneck, I lost a little bit of length. No worries though :]
Next, slice the bottom where you just cut (don’t cut the hemmed edge)
And there you go! A neat scarf made out of something you were about to throw away! How easy was that? I hope you enjoyed that short little DIY, come by my blog and say Hi sometime!
